Apple customers around the world rely on the Macintosh Products Guide™ to find products for their Mac, iPod and iPhone. Make sure your company's products are listed and up-to-date. Developers can list free-of-charge all products that meet the criteria listed below.

All Products
- The product must have a supporting website in English, where customers can find Mac, iPod or iPhone compatibility information.
- The product must be currently shipping (no beta software or pre-announced products). Open source projects can be beta.
- Products must follow the posted Guidelines for Using Apple's Trademarks and Copyrights. For example, the words Apple, iPod or iPhone may be used as a descriptor, but not as part of the product name.
- Consumables are not listed (batteries, ink cartridges, toner, print media, storage media, common cables and adapters, etc.)
- Ranges of products that have slightly different configurations may be consolidated into a single product record (e.g. ranges of hard drives with various capacities, RAM modules, stock media, etc.)
- Products and their developer's web site cannot contain language or any other form of expression that may be deemed inappropriate or offensive to others.
- Apple reserves the right to omit, edit, or reject submissions.
Mac Products
- Must meet all criteria listed above, under "All Products"
- The product must be built to run natively on Mac OS X or Carbonized (i.e., must not launch the Classic environment).
-
To be listed as a Universal product, the product's supporting website must include the Universal logo or adequate compatibility information (e.g., "Runs on Intel- and PowerPC-based Mac computers"). Use of the Universal logo requires a separate agreement.
- Web-based applications: Software that can be purchased and whose Mac OS X client application is a web browser can be listed. Web-based services (e.g. online banking, online stores, etc.) are not allowed. Online games are allowed provided they meet all product submission criteria. Web-based software will be reviewed and accepted on a case-by-case basis.
- Only full versions of software are listed (no demo or upgrade versions, retail SKUs, etc.)
iPod and iPhone Products
- Must meet all criteria listed above, under "All Products"
-
For products that connect to the 30-pin iPod or iPhone dock connector, the company must be a member of the Made for iPod program.
About Apple Retail
Products listed in the Macintosh Products Guide will be reviewed for inclusion in Apple retail and/or online stores. For consideration, your product, at a minimum, must be offered through general retail distribution, have retail packaging, and offer a broad consumer appeal. You will be contacted by an Apple retail or online store representative if your product is selected.
